Norway, Skibotn (Boat in Harbor)

Shot in June in Skibotn in northern Norway. We took a road trip to Finnish and Norwegian Lapland, and had the nicest weather during that summer in Nordic countries, with mercury reaching 30 degrees Centigrade (85 degrees Fahrenheit). Air is crystal clear, there's literally 24 hours of sunlight per day, the weather hot - what's not to like!

Romania, Sighisoara

These colorful buildings in Sighisoara, Romania really captured my attention while walking in this historic town. Sighisoara is the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, a Romanian tyrant who was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. The old town where this shot was taken is an especially serene location, and offers quite a few beautiful scenes for the traveler.

Slovenia, Lake Bled (Landscape III)

Perhaps the most beautiful location in Europe I have experienced: Lake Bled in Slovenia. The church on the small island is dominates the foreground, while Bled Castle stands proudly on a hilltop farther back, with the grand Julian Alps as the backdrop. I was lucky to get the heavy hanging clouds to emphasize the majesty of the scene. Don't miss this location if you're in the area!
